There is a dynamic tension between a model for portrait sitter and the artist that is like nothing else. The widely different energy that each person brings often dictates the colors used and the shapes drawn. I like the strict time limits that frames each modeling session. Each pose demands total concentration and commitment to put paint down fearlessly and quickly. I am grateful to live in the Bay area where the models are unique, professional and committed to their work.
